Fall Seriously in Love With Me!! #08 — STORYBOARDING! HA HA!

November 19th, 2011

What is with the godawful directing today?

Horizon will almost certainly be a little delayed. Switching ISPs. Guy said he’d be here to start working… 15 minutes ago.

Impressions:

I miss when this was a comedy. If they had at least strung together all the action scenes without interrupting each dramatic moment by 4-5 minutes of Ageha or others talking about how cyborgs are… get this… strong… then it would have improved things immensely. Why the hell are you cutting away from action to point at blueprints? But like always, I may as well wish for a chocolate waterfall flowing through my backyard while I’m at it. It’ll go well with my wish-granting unicorn.

The fighting was also a bit awkward. To their credit, they didn’t use that horrible blur filtering that has become vogue in recent years to try to cover up that your ‘fights’ are just two to three ridiculous frames of people with 4 tentacle arms, but that just made me feel like I was watching something from the 90s. Momo punches a rocket away from her and accidentally towards Yamato, then cut away to her screaming in anguish in the middle of a hospital. Uh. Okay. Transitions are apparently for chumps and liberals.
