Impressions:

I have nothing intelligent to say about this. It’s still the same show (thankfully), but it wasn’t one of the battling episodes, so I must shake my fist regardless. Well, I’d probably shake my fist anyway since even for this show, it’s a fairly vacuous beach episode meant to reintroduce all the characters, complete with an actual recap of them at the start. I admit that it was a little disappointing to not see Yoshii’s male stalker show up. The potential for his beach antics are… disturbing.

It’s all more or less the same as it was before. Yoshii’s still dumb as a post, Shouko’s still hot, and Hideyoshi’s still not allowed topless on the beach. Still visually creative in animation, style, and direction, still full of weird BGM, although having already watched Mayo Chiki (just waiting on a cappable raw), it really doesn’t compare as far as weird BGM goes. Good news if you liked it, bad news if you don’t… which shouldn’t be surprising for what a series after 16 episodes. Production didn’t decline at least, so I’m pleased. Now they just need to get back to the chibi things beating the hell out of each other and Dark Valkyrie Himeji.

And the reward for best beach fashion goes to Himeji. Simple, yet elegant. Shouko can have a close second with the rest needing to lose the frills. I still want to know what the hell is up with these bikini garters I keep seeing.
