Boobs #01 — A New Standard In Censorship

Now that’s fanservice.

FYI, Yuruyuri’s broadcast was pushed back slightly tomorrow, so unless CR is actually paying attention (ha), their webcast will manage to beat the actual Japanese broadcast.

Impressions:

Won’t somebody think of the children? In six or seven years, Japan’s going to be turning out an entire population of men raised on the belief that the female sexual organs emit blinding flashes of light. Or worse, are going to only be sexually aroused by floodlights. Just look at this. Who wouldn’t find that arousing? Frankly, I miss the days of mist, claymation, and the conveniently placed piece of scenery. This is just lazy, and more than a little confusing on the occasions where someone is groping a giant ball of light.

So nothing unexpected here. It begins with groping, proceeds to more groping, one character steals another’s breasts, then ends with more groping. Production is fairly poor too for what is ostensibly an ‘action’ show, but that’s not really too surprising. Of course, it’d all be a bit more stomachable if it wasn’t so damn serious about it. Unlike Ikkitousen or Sekirei, there’s not a hint of levity anywhere here besides any laughs you might have already had from the absolutely ridiculous concept presented completely straight.

So… bleh. Hoods is just continuing to rely on the same thing they did for Qwaser, not that I can say I’m overly shocked by it, but c’est la vie.

    the whole concept of this thing is silly.

      Funny thing there, in the manga they do wind up getting too big and makes it hard for Chifusa, the main character, to even move around.

    But seriously, the censorship is…WHY?! Qwaser can be uncensored but not this. No fair.

    It should be pretty obvious by now why schemes like this are going around. Its about maximizing profits– regardless of whether those profits are used to keep a company afloat or just for shameless scavenging for margin percents of market share. Tasteful censorship is out. You entirely block all the good bits and what you have is a 23min trailer to promote uncensored viewing on premium or bd sales.

    ok then saw ep.1 give big huh is those “lights” really do we need big solar flare on it?

    so let some things in check

    1.we got female aka chifusa on the run then fell on river while loyal servent aka kaede got “punish” by female with gun aka kagefusa
    2.female on run chifusa is ok then found by female farmer then some blah then reveal farmer female got flat due to gun female kagefusa.
    3.then gun female kagefusa vs female on the run chifusa give saw servent blonde kaede got flat due to “manyuu chopping” then fight is on & female on run chifusa win with result gun female kagefusa go flat & female on run chifusa get her manyuu grow bigger.
    4.then reveal mention of scroll then go on journey to give equal manyuu to all female all over the land.
    5.now on journey with loyal servent kaede give she might be “les yay” her master.

    overall series seem good to watch just wonder how we keep up with those “solar flare” showing oh well just wait for license & dub then yes.

    I skipped around episode one and, man, is this show retarded. I don’t say that often, but I can’t help but imagine the guy responsible for subbing this show weeping into his pillow at night over what his life has become.

    I’ll keep checking in on it occasionally, though, as the prospect of ninjas trying to fight each other while carrying around ZZ-cup breasts is ludicrous enough to be worth watching.
