It’s all for the reward at the end…

Impressions:

Great end to the episode, although the middle and the whole Kondo bit with Nao and Iroha was a tad needlessly cryptic for the show just spinning it’s wheels. It’s not like character development or plot are strengths here, so spinning some convoluted web of random wordery to play over and over again for the rest of the episode is just gratuitous. Besides, Kondo, you just caught them dressing up like you, wrapped around him, pretending to sleep, and one’s first reaction was to declare that she’d be a switch for him. There’s a gulf of possibilities that covers "I like him in a different way than you two." Iroha and Nao need to step up their game a lot more too above and beyond just putting on black stockings. I do miss Nao’s friends too. This episode carried on just fine without them, but they helped a lot in making Nao funny which has been lacking these last couple episodes. The little cameo of them popping up just made me realize how long they’ve been gone.

Kondo does later try to start getting him to share her hobby though, which as I mentioned last week, is more of the direction that she needs to go in to become interesting. Do note that Shuusuke puts himself into the role of bottom with Kondo in the driver’s position when he first breaks into his delusion, and that continues in his dream/nightmare about the forbidden love of the AGE. It’s only a matter of time before he’s dreaming about a swarm of male Shizurus wearing stockings and bathing suits all trying to wrap themselves around him. That’s a terrifying thought.

And no, I have no idea what’s up with the weird resolution. I don’t ask questions. I just watch whatever pops up first. Maybe somebody fat sat on the broadcast.
