Tell your students to play a game involving hiding, then lock them in a shed. Great work, Yabe.

Impressions:

This is not going to go down as Mitsudomoe’s best showing… or even above average, and it was absolutely killed by a truly godawful fourth part. The main problem was that each segment of this one only had one joke to it. Parts one and four saved their one joke for the very end while two and three drummed it into your skull for the entire segment. Admittedly, they nailed the first punchline for the first part with Hitoha and Mitsuba locked up together and Hitoha turning the tables. Was it worth the five minutes of buildup though? No, not really. They do need more gags like that instead of continuously relying on overly forced misunderstandings as their primary source of humor though.

The second part and third parts were back to misunderstandings. Nipple was doing tricks for Futaba, so Hitoha went to Yabe to complain about Futaba stealing ‘him’ from her. Part numero tres was Hitoha and Futaba visiting Yabe’s disgusting roach infested apartment and him sticking things that roaches crawled over into Hitoha’s face and then crying about her hating them. And the last part was 50% insert song and stills of Futaba and Random Kid #123119 with just a joke that Futaba drew his mom with giant breasts. If you didn’t see that one coming, you need your head examined. I never thought that I’d long for them to return to throwing urine around, but hopefully they can find a happy medium between the two instead of continuing this dull repetition of the same joke ad nauseam.
