Night Raid’s Continuing Battle Against Being Watched

May 17th, 2010

As has been noted elsewhere, Night Raid #07 wasn’t broadcast today because it deals with the Mukden Incident… which they’re completely changing anyway apparently. Instead, they broadcast a recap episode, which I only quickly flipped through since this show barely has a plot as it is. Anyway, the true stupidity comes in from the broadcast giving a password to go to A-1’s site to download the actual episode 7. A-1 apparently didn’t get the message. In other words, I have no idea when the episode’s going to show up. It’s indefinitely delayed until A-1 remembers to upload it.

Wow, that is a long subtitle / first liner

  • ojisan says:

Dear God. Just… either write a good story that deals with history (like, say, Zipang) or go smartly around its edges, like Daughter of Twenty Faces. Don’t plow in, screw up, and then put duct tape over the hole –

For anyone who’s actually interested in watching the series: I think this episode gave quite some new insight into what is happening and connected some loose events.

@Aroduc: Do you have ANY idea what the Mukden incident was?!

  • barak says:

@Ardouc: It was a real bombing (although a minor one), which is why it was a casus belli. The question is who was behind it. Revisionist history says it was the Chinese. Others say it was the Japanese themselves, but opinions differ on whether they acted on orders from Tokyo or not. And so on, and so forth.

  • Aroduc says:

First off, nobody seriously believes that the Chinese did it anymore nor has for years. Not even the Japanese. Second, the bombing was designed to be fake and cause no real damage… and it didn’t, making the whole thing completely suspicious and shady from the start. That’s a far cry from dumping a bomb directly on the tracks.
