Guardian Charm Himari #10 — Cosplay Awakening

March 10th, 2010

Yes, that probably was the highlight of this episode.

Impressions:

An extremely dull episode all around. Himari spends most of it feeling sorry for herself, Yuuto decides to fight, and then gets in Himari’s face about trying to go off and fight on her own again. That scene would have had a bit more impact if it hadn’t devolved into a bunch of shrieking girls at the end all screaming the exact same thing that Yuuto just said. Or if Zexcs had let them finish their kiss instead of busting out the bad gag props. Sadly, that pretty much makes the cosplay adventure to ‘awaken’ Yuuto’s power (which, might I add, is one of the worst euphemisms for an erectin that I can think of) the high point of this episode. I guess the Ippon-Dattara had its moments too, which just goes to show where the baseline for entertainment this week in this show was.

And that’s all I’ve got to say about that.

With only so many episodes to go and so much more of the manga left to cover… this was inevitable. If they’re not going to do another season then they have to come up with an original ending. (sigh) I wanted to see loli Himari…

  • Jack Damn says:

If they come up with an original, non-Manga ending, can someone (AFTER the last episode) post the Manga ending? I can’t remember if there are spoiler tags here or not, but I hate not knowing the Manga ending when the TV show is a kludge.

    TIA

Little spoilers for manga. sorry for this.

manga is still ongoing and will be long time. They havent even touched ninetailfox and that other guy yet… sorry for spoilers

  • Nanaya says:

No, they’ve reached the fox already. They just haven’t gone much further past that, or at least the scanlations haven’t.

Holy crap! Ques doesn’t have her cleavage hanging out! The situation must be really bad if she’s given that up.

It’s kinda common these days that anime adaptions of manga always have their own endings. Sometimes they don’t really have endings, like Nyankoi and Sora no Otoshimono. They’re not finished and probably far away from being finished.

  • Silentbrick says:

Is it bad to actually miss Sento, Plug and Arresta this season? Or that Sento invades this Anime with his bat and goes to town?

Heck, even White Album’s horrid train wreck of a show was somehow more entertaining.
