Impressions:

Hilarious episode. Absolutely bloody hilarious. Everything from Naomi turning poisoner, to Minamoto snapping and inducing drill trauma in the entire BABEL squadron, to Oboro being the meanest bloody drunk around was great. I did rather dislike the metajokes with the ‘Zettai Children’ singers showing up (in a Zettai Taxi) to fangirl over the drill and then sing portions of the first opening, but eh… minor low point. The Great Armada of BABEL though… solid gold. It was a shame that they had to diverge off into that sort of half-assed attempt at a plot for the episode, but it only lasted about 4 minutes from start to end, and the end was Koremitsu being… well… things better left unsaid.

Oh yeah, there was actually a teency weency bit of development tossed in there too about the mysterious woman in the OP from Minamoto’s past who he still apparently loves, but other than her showing up through Koremitsu’s telepathy, and Shiho revealing that he does still love her, we didn’t get much of anything else. I’d have thought that Kyosuke would be the one to drag it out of him to try to manipulate him (or Kaoru) in some way. I just hope that they use the BABEL Drill in more episodes now… and everybody retains the trauma Minamoto inflicted upon them.
