Copious amounts of Kaguro is never a bad thing.

Impressions:

Oh yeah, this show. As we apparently near the end of Kekkaishi, let’s remember the good parts, like Kaguro and Gen… and forget the manga stuff that will apparently never be reached. Oh well. This was a very well done episode, full of action for about 15 minutes. Then, we’re subjected to some eleventh hour Kaguro flashback/development in the middle of the fight, but at least it’s out of the way and hopefully the fight will conclude nicely next episode, especially given how much of the preview was Masamori’s gang flying around and looking at stuff. I still find it funny that Tokine has been wandering around Kokuboro for the same amount of time as Yoshimori, has killed at least one named person and nobody seems to know or care. Silly Tokine. At least she and Sen can sit on the sidelines together and be cheerleaders.

At least the last minute Kaguro development was decent, though he was as insane looking and crazy as a human as well, so I’m not really sure if it was meant to elicit sympathy for his lot in life or what. They also finally got around to developing the Absolute Edge technique a little more than "destroys everything that comes close." Kaguro may not be able to slice through it, but the concussive force of his attacks is more than enough to throw Yoshimori around like a ragdoll. There were still a few points where I had to grimace at the poor animation, but those were mostly limited to Kaguro’s giant mouth and a limit of three frames used to move it about. Hopefully they’ll stay in form as this comes to an end.
